Frequently Asked Questions
Is my financial data secure?
Yes. Your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is encrypted end-to-end by Apple. We never have access to your financial information.
Do I need to connect my bank accounts?
No. Kapito is designed for manual entry. This gives you complete control over your data and privacy. We believe deliberate tracking leads to better financial awareness.
Can I sync across multiple devices?
Yes. Enable iCloud sync in Settings to sync your data across all your Apple devices signed into the same Apple ID. Your data is encrypted end-to-end.
What currencies are supported?
Kapito supports 40+ currencies with automatic exchange rate conversion. You can track accounts in different currencies and see your total net worth in your preferred currency.
How do stock and crypto prices update?
For investment and crypto accounts with holdings tracking enabled, prices are fetched from Yahoo Finance and CoinGecko. You can refresh prices manually or set up automatic updates in Settings (Pro feature).
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free users can track up to 5 accounts with basic charts and standard widgets. Pro unlocks unlimited accounts, all 9 expert charts, 35+ financial insights, multi-currency support, data export, and premium themes.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Go to Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions on your iPhone to manage or cancel your Kapito Pro subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are processed by Apple according to their refund policy. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings > Export Data in the app. You can export your data as CSV (for spreadsheets) or PDF (for records). This is a Pro feature.
Is there a family plan?
Family sharing is on our roadmap. Currently, each Apple ID requires its own subscription. Follow us for updates on new features.
Will there be an Android version?
Currently, Kapito is available exclusively for iPhone and iPad. We're focused on delivering the best possible iOS experience. An Android version may be considered in the future.
